Madeline got her ear pierced

After much talk and month of thinking ear piecing, Madeline was ready.  We were trying to have Madeline go with Kay Kay but due to scheduling issues we could not.  Madeline was ready and wanted to get her ears done before Nanas birthday.  So I asked Nana if she was free and she said, 'how could I not want to be there".

We went one afternoon on Thursday (Nana day) as I meet them at the mall.  She was hopping and skipping but Claires was right next to th arcade and that was a little hard to get her away. You have to remember that the Ambrose kids have not been in a mall in over a year so everything is sparking COOOOL.  As we walked into Claire's and wanted EVERYTHING.  She then settled down and we choose purple studs.  Nana was nice enough to buy her pink studs and flowers for when we were able to change them out.

As the technician pierced her 1st ear Madeline screamed and was not liking it.  She did not want to finish her second ear and it took some coaching.  The nice ladey  after 5 minutes said, 'I understand let me rub off the other ear".  At that point she swiftly went in and completed the second ear.  Madeline was not heppy with that, cried and 5 minutes later she was good.

As a special treat Nana and Bampa took the kids out to get dinner.  We went to a Italian Restaurant outside and ate alot as well as sang loud and a lot.  The kids had quite a day since we never do this type of thing.

Elenore Roosevelt

In early August we were struck by hard news.  Our baby girl was sick.  We noticed some slowing down of her high energy but she was almost 10 and though old age.  We took her in for a check up and found out she had kidney issues.  Both Mark and I were positive but knew it would be  long hard journey. As much we tried, time was not on our side.  The week was filled with hugs, kisses, walks, kids coming over and playing with her and soo much more.

Elenore was Mark and my 1st dog.  I got her for Mark in CO.  I remember him telling me about his dog Maggie and I really wanted to get him a dog like her.  Ellie was a miniature schnauzer with blue heeler.  She was the sweetest thing.  Her and Mark had the best love and was his right hand.  We took her to Denver hotels, I took her on hikes and she was the life of our gatherings.  She loved everyone, played fetch for hours and just was so fun.  The love and memories  we made in CO we continue as we made our new home in NH.  As we we grew our family from three to four Ellie learned how to "share her toys", be protective of the kids and let them know when there friends were coming over to play.  She was also apart of every Ambrose holiday and Donnas birthday adventures.  There are so many things that Ellie is special for but as we know its the memories made with the loved ones through the years our mind keeps locked up in a special place. Mark and I know that she's not replicable and we wished we had more years with her.  She was our sweeties pie.

Race with Greater Derry Track Club ....... so much fun

Derry Track has an amazing summer kids event.  For 7 weeks on Mondays, from 6-7 kids 3-12 can come and race the HS track at several distances.  Madelines age group runs 200 meters and Dominic runs 300 meters.  We started the third Monday out of the seven week race schedule.  It was so much fun.  When we get there, we doante food and then have the kids hang out and run around.  About 6:20 pm we start to get in our age brackets and walk to our areas.  From there we start to stretch and the coach explains the running process.

The first race we told the kids to run in the inner part of the track, go fast and have fun.  The first race for Madeline she did great and was feeling the competition.  Madeline came 4th out of 12 girls,

Dominic we learned to make sure his shoes are tyed.  He lost one shoe after 10 meters then the same shoe 10 more after. However, in last place he came through and came in  10 out of 14.

The BEST part was of course the surprise encore from Nana and Bampa who was there at the end.  I my husband for so many reasons.  And I cannot say that enough for who he is and his morals.  I am so lucky to have out kids grow up in this great town.  You learn, grow and can become a strong athlete with love, support and great suppport.
