Road Trip to PHILLY

We were really excited to for road trip to Philly.  It was the 1st time we meet Brynn and Madeline's 1st road trip.  We left on Thursday night to CT for a night at the hotel THEN up early to PA and see the family.  We left NH and the kids were loaded up with books, games, and mommy in the back seat.  We got to the hotel around 8pm. Got the room and went down to get dinner.  For dinner, the kids ran around the lobby which was fine. Dinner came and as we know it's not cheap at a hotel. Each kid got the same thing and did not even eat half of the meal.  Lesson learned on this trip.... just buy one meal/split and then buy snacks. The kids love running the halls and being adventurous.  We got a pretty good deal on the room so we opted to get two shared rooms.  Madeline in her own than us three.  Fingers crossed we all would get a good night sleep but the total opposite.  We knew it was a matter of time that Madeline would be able to get out of the play-pack.  She is pretty much there in her crib but we were hoping. So that night she was having WAY to much fun and tested the waters.  In the end, we brought Madeline into our room then Dominic into hers and then Daddy slept with Dom and me with Madeline. Ow, what a night.

On Friday we got up early and hit the road to PA.  Today we were going to take the kids to 'Lego Land'.  This is Domincs DREAM and we were living it.  When we first got to Anne and Toms we waited on Poppy and Brynn to come from school.  We embarked on this journey with 1st stop lunch then 1:30 show time.  We had pizza and ran the carousel.  It was so much fun going up and down... round and round and slapping poppys hand we rode round and round.  As soon as 1:30 came we were ready.  We entered Lego land and went on the train ride. You go through the different virtual reality and shot at the coins, gold and bad guys.  Dominic had a blast and was very proud of himself.  Once we completed the game we entered Lego Land.  Dominic had a pamphlet where you can complete a variety of games.  Dominic and Madeline ran around building from various zones, rode on the slides and watched the 3-D movie.  After Lego Land we came back to the house and relaxed. Then for dinner, the kids had their 1st experience of Hibachi. This is so much fun... watching the chefs cook food by flinging food in the air. Dominic wore a chefs hat, Brynn was giggling nonstop and Dom was loving the show.  When we got home Kim and Jackson were there.  We finally settled the kids down and hung out for a bit.  The next day was Philly Zoo!!

Saturday morning we headed to the Philly Zoo. This was Dominic 2nd time ( he was 9 months his 1st though) and Maddy's 1st.  We were so lucky to have such a beautiful day with the whole Sanner Family.  We saw every animal possible and just LOVED the petting zoo. There was not a lamb that was not kissed or petted by Ms. Madeline.  The kids had a blast and we explored every inch.  Dominic LOVED the lizard exhibit b.c they looked like dinosaurs and Madeline just loved everything.  Brynn was the cutest thing enjoying the ride and being a great sport.

We also enjoyed the petting zoo with the goats.  Madeline loved to feed them and pet their soft fur.  After the petting exhibit we walked a lot of the zoo.  Other then the cool reptile exhibit.  The gorillas were our 2nd favorite.

When we got back from the Zoo. Kids took naps while Poppy, Tom and I put together the eggs for the Easter egg hunt.  This was the 1st year we did not attend Aunt Kims
(Donnas sisters house for Easter). We put candy, coins and little toys in the eggs.  My kids are not 'candy lovers' so this was a great mix.  We had over 40 eggs and it was so much fun to hide them with my dad poppy.  When the kids were up we were treated to such a sweet treat from Aunt Anne and Uncle Tom.  They got the kid's fund gear to wear.  The girls had bunny ears. Dominic got to pimp a sweet hat and t-shirt.  It was super cute and we LOVED it.  When we were ready the kids just ran around finding all eggs. It was a joint effort with laughs and love. After the hunt, we had a wonderful family dinner.

Sunday morning we left around 7 am to get on the road since its about a 5 hours drive.  Our trip to PA was so much fun.
