Lots of changes as in December

December 2017 was a big month for the Ambrose family.  On December 15th we moved from 43 Tenby Drive to 12 Rossini Rd in Londonderry.  Tenby was the home where we started our family and made so many memories.  When we first toured that home, Mark and I envisioned our kids running the halls, playing in the backyard/front yard, cuddling in the winter, cookouts and camping (the list could go on). This is the home where we started to raise both Dominic and Madeline.  We are excited to embark on a new adventure with a new home that includes Grandma.  As we were looking for a new home, we wanted to have the same feeling as we did with Tenby. Watching the kids explore the home and envision then playing and making new memories.  With Rossini, we saw this and new that it was perfect.  Closing on December 15 was a bit stressful but we did it.  The week after we closed mommy was quick to get our new home unpacked and ready for Santa.  Dominics Christmas list consisted of EVERYTHING 'Star Wars'.  He absolutely loves star wars, books, Ninjago, and swords. Dominic will get one toy and then on the back of the package hell request to get the remaining characters to complete the set.  Madeline on the other hand.  She is starting to get into Mickey and Minnie Mouse.  So she was asking for anything related to these characters, tea set, and loves crafts. This girl loves to color and be creative.

The week before Christmas, we were so lucky to spend time the Mays. They came over to play and celebrate an early Christmas with us.  Madeline loved showing Adelaide her toys and did very well sharing.  Playing with baby dolls, puzzles and showed Addy how to jump on her trampoline.

We got a really late start decorating for Christmas but we did it. The kids loved putting up the tree ornaments.  Dominic was eager to tell Madeline which ones were his and helped her place them on the right branch. We also attempted to build gingerbread houses.  Dominic and I do this every year but this year we let Madeline part take.  It was a little bit more challenging.  This year the gingerbread walls were not staying in place and made it more challenging.  Especially since we had Madeline help and all she wanted to do was eat everything.  Madeline loved to add the candy as Dominic loved to build with his hands and have mommy help with the icing.

On Christmas Eve we attended our annual party at Aunt Kim's.  We had a blast playing with our cousins and eating great food.  Madeline loved wearing her pretty red dress and Dom loved being sneaky with his handsome outfit.  He wears a fancy shirt but underneath he gets to wear a graphic-t.  At the party he'll whisper to his family what he's really wearing and loves it.

When we returned home from the party it was time to get ready for Santa and make sure his reindeer had food too. But during the month of December at school, Dominic continued to learn about winter and talked about Santa.  Dominic gets so fascinated by Santas reindeer it's pretty sweet. He lets me know that they work so hard and they need a treat too, to help Santa get around all night.

The morning of Christmas was so nice. The kids slept till about 7:30 then we embarked on a day full of festivities.  Dominic loves to wake up and come get mommy and daddy about 70% of the time. The other %, he gets his sister if he hears her sing.  Today, Dominic came to get mommy and daddy. We cuddle for a bit until we heard Madeline singing. So we got up and started the real fun!  When we went to Madeline's room for some sweet but strange reason they wanted to read books and sit in the rocking chair.  I asked Dad to start the coffee for I knew it would be a long morning (we were up until midnight/one am).

Santa loved his cookies and the reinderr enjoyed the apples!!

As we sat down opening presents the kids took turns. This year, we really took our time opening presents and let the kids open up them up if they wanted to. We just enjoyed the moment and the memories we were making.  Dominic with every present he opened he was asking is this Star Wars something (things I didn't know).  Dominic's favorite toys were his Star Wars swords, Power Ranger toys and Grandma got him a Star Wars HUGE pillow.  Later that day when we went to Nana and Bamopas he got Star Wars sheets so it was a perfect match.  For Madeline, we have been waiting to give her a kitchen set. Santa also gave Madeline a LOT of arts and crafts for her to continue her creativity.

My children being so crazy and enjoying snow days!!!

Bath moment and Madeline being goofball

Happy New Years !! This year we brought in the new year in our new home.  We started the day with playing in the snow and playing with our toys. For dinner years ago Mark and I loved to make homemade pizzas.  We thought it would be fun to have the kids part in this tradition.

We have been trying to get outside with the kids but it had been so incredibly cold.  We finally were able to get out and enjoy the snow. We ran around, built snow angels and helped daddy shovel.
