Even though its only been a month since she turned 15 months. Madeline has been way more active and into everything than Dominic was at this age. These are some things Madeline has been into....
- She is not walking but RUNNING everywhere
- Words she loves to say now and say more clear are; No, eye, mouth, nose, ear, up (I've been really working on), down, milk, water, book, ball, water, bag, baby, car, voom, whoof whoof, quack, bubbles and yes.
- Not eating crayons as much
- Placing stickers on paper
- Coloring
- Drinking out of a big girl cup
- Sweeping the floor
- Building with legos
- Carrying her brother's backpack AFTER she puts her toys in the bag
- Playing with playdoh BUT she does like to eat it too
- Bath time with bubbles as she plays with her boat, the captain and bath wall toys
- LOVES to chase bubbles with her brother
- She will sit by the bookshelf and pull all her books and just read them
- Drink from the water fountain
- Sing songs and LOVES 'this little piggy
Madeline, these past several months she has brought so much joy to our lives. Her laughter and smile are so contagious and Dominic just makes her smile. As were learning to share in our household non-stop. She is crazy on how she loves to go up and down the stairs, play with swords, hide and go seek and finding Dominic's jackets then bringing them to him which we thought was a thoughtful gesture.
So it has been 2 months since we have been at Kinder Care and the kids have been adjusting well. It has been a little harder for Madeline then Dominic when we leave them in the morning. However, we have noticed that she is actually using sign language at home to communicate a lot more on what she is trying to say. She has been sad when I leave her but playing with her friends when I pick her up. Dominic has been having a little harder time but learning his numbers up to 30 because there talking about the calendar which is wonderful. For we have a calendar at home with pictures showing on what were doing each day. If its a 'Nana' day we draw a car, a school we draw a building, mommy day is a smiling face and the weekend it two smile faces for mommy and daddy. After long consideration, we decided to send the kids back to World Academy. They will start May 15th and Dominic has been very vocalized on how excited he is.
Dominic has always loved books and our library has a program where you can "Read 1,000 books before 1st Grade". I signed Dominic up and he has already read 350 books.
On a fun Happy Birthday note. We celebrated Corrine's 2nd Birthday. It was a day filled with games, laugher, and smiles.
Dominic and his friend Owen at Benson Park.
We played and even saw a baby turtle make its way to the pond
