Boston Aquarium Visit

In the beginning of March. The Ambrose's had a great visit from Moms, Aunt Pat. She came for three days and they were packed full of non-stop fun. Playing with cars, reading books, car chases, and giggles. We also were excited to take Madeline on her 1st visit to the Boston Aquarium.

Last time received a sweet visit from our Aunt Pat was lees than 3 years to the day.  She got to meet Dominic.  We're so lucky to have her in our lives.

It was a VERY windy Saturday that we took the trip to the city.  Dominic was so excited to see the penguins and was telling his sister all the neat things they were about to see.

On the 1st level, were all the penguins and it was really crowded.  So we let Madeline stay in her seat.  It was nice because there was a glass window so she could see down and look at the penguins. Madeline enjoyed watching them be feed and playing in the water.

Aunt Pat was really excited to see the turtle Murtle.

Dominic and Madeline watching the fishes.

Madeline was really excited that we were able to walk through and touch some of the living sea creatures.  We were able to touch a crab, sand crab and starfish.  She was gentle but loved to splash around.

One of my favorite moments with Dominic was the LOBSTER.  Every time we would go to the grocery store.  We would see lobsters and he loves to watch them. That day at the aquarium, they had a teacher doing a presentation about Lobsters.  Dominic was able to ask all his questions and finally touch one.

Madeline LOVES her penguin

14 Months little Angel of ours

I cannot tell you how much fun it has been to watch Madeline go through this journey of growing to become this young, crazy little girl.  These past few weeks Madeline has been growing LEAPS & BOUNDS.

As I watch her grow and the wheels turning in her little head is so fun.  It reminds me of what Dominic was doing at this age and makes my heart melt.  Watching these babies, watch you and then take that and put into action, is so amazing.  Both Mark, me and Dominic teach Madeline how to put shoes on, tell her what objects are and food. Then not even the nest day she is doing it.... WOW !!This girl does not let anything get past her.

Some AMAZING things she's been up to and I may have missed a few for there is a lot, here we go;

  • Words Madeline has been saying and can say even more clear are, momma, dada, Dominic, Abraham, Pepper, Hi, Bye-bye, sock, shoe, uh oh, done, eye and were working on new words like milk, water, nose.  She is even "signing" for more and all done
  • When it's either bedtime or when Daddy leaves for the day.  We say, 'give kisses' and she puckers up.  It is literally the sweetest thing.
  • Dad has taught her to give 'hi-fives'
  • She is walking not so much like a drunken
  • LOVES water.   She will point to a cup and continue to do so until she gets her H2O fix
  • Read books.  She will go and take a book from the shelf and bring it to you to read OR just sit there read to herself
  • Stacking blocks
  • Feed either her baby of puppy
  • Play in her brother's closet for 'hide-an-go-seek'
  • 'Pat' mommy's shoulder
  • Tackler her brother
  • Sing 'this little piggy' and grab her toes
  • Likes it when we sing 'Itsy bitsy spider' and she will make the hand gestures
  • She will ONLY take a bath in the big tub.  She gives me a hard time unless her brother is with her to bath too
  • Becoming adventurous in every way.  This week she thought she could walk down the stairs holding the wall.  Getting there, but her legs are not that tall
  • She listens now to direction.  If you ask her to put something away or pick something up.  She will actually listen
