As we end the winter season, both Maddy & Dom were very busy.
Dominic went and saw his 1st movie, Kun Fu Panda, with daddy, Bampa & Brendan. He did a great job through the whole movie. Daddy said that at times, he would talked a little loud when asking questions about what was happening next or just expressing words of excitement. I wish I was there, but Maddy and I had some girl time. When mommy and daddy told Dominic about going to the theater for the first time. He was excited and his first question was, "can I get popcorn?". Of course, we said yes and he actually ate a good amount. I was excited that he was able to share this moment with some family members too.

This is Dominic's first year being at school and he was invited to his first "friends birthday party" for Atharv. The theme was "Thomas the train" and 2 of his other school friends attended. They were Joey, Nishi and, of course, the birthday boy. At the party, they had someone come in and do face painting and Dominic choose Batman. He was on cloud nine and was sad to wash it off before bed.

At school, Dominic has been growing intellectually in monumental ways. In the month of February Dominic and his friends at school focused on "Caring and Sharing". This included caring for the Environment, Caring for Pets, Caring for and Sharing with our friends, and ourselves. The goal for the month was to introduce and explore responsibility. Some of these activities were to bring pictures of your animals, talk about the chores you do at home to help mom and dad, how to fold laundry, clean dishes, discuss what is a friend and how we share, eating healthy and cleaning our teeth. So lots of fun things that Dominic has been learning and sharing with mom and dad at home.
Since Maddy has been home. The first month she slept a whole lot and when she woke, she lit the room up with her smile. The first few days she was home, Dom loved rocking her and reading his library books to her. The first week Madeline did the following; she tried to roll over, she did find her thumb, belly time was great with strong neck muscles & she loves to snuggle. At about 3 weeks, Madeline did not like to sleep in her bassinet so we tried the pack-n-play. She did great and slept from 8:30 p.m. to 4:50 a.m.. Since then she has been sleeping there and we have used our swaddle bag to keep her nice and warm. For the past few weeks she has been sleeping at least 5 -8 hours at night too. Our days have been pretty busy with play time. I have also been working with her on pulling herself up with good head control, finding her voice with mummers, reaching for some toys, smiling with peek-a-boo, playing with our feet & hand coordination and following our toys.

Some one like to be awake now for our morning runs
About a week after Madeline turned 2 months. We wanted to see how Madeline did in her crib at night and she surprising did really well. She currently goes down around 7:30/8 p.m., wakes for a early am feeding then wakes around from 6 to 7 am. Since then, we have been having her sleep in her crib at night and her afternoon naps too.
In the beginning of April, when Madeline and I were doing face time. She laughed and I was very excited. I was able for her to get one more laugh from her then called Mark right away.

(weight 11.2 lbs and 22 3/4 long)
During the first 2 months, Dominic and Madeline were visited by both my parents (Grandma and Poppy). There was a lot of snuggles and special moments. Now with grand baby #2 here I know they are even more smitten with these little cuties.
Before I go back to work full time, we were able to have one more play date with the Hanlon crew. With 4 kids now, it's craziness. Between running around playing, crafts, lunch and playing outside its a world wind.

Some special moments of the kids that I captured.....
Uncle Steve has been doing work for us and Dominic has asked me to pretend to be Steve at the park. I think he loves his uncle <3
Love her little laugh. Its super sweet.
