He hears & sees EVERYTHING you do....

These past few weeks Dominic has been doing GREAT with his "Frankenstein"walking and is slowing getting better, aka becoming more confident and dropping the arms.  He loves to walk everywhere, and the stairs, he is conquering much better on his own too.

This was the 1st Easter Egg hunt where Dominic was able to participate with his cousins and he had a blast.  He was able to walk on his own, with mommy all around and spotted many of the colorful vibrant eggs.  Dominic and his cousins were all working together to collect all the eggs and having a blast.

On a hygiene note, Dominic LOVES to brush his teeth.  We always listen to Pandora and the song "Brush your Teeth" comes on and we sing.  AND NOW as we make our way to the bathroom daddy and mommy started to hum and sing the song.  Dominic bobs his head and walks towards our bathroom.  He has a step stool and with mommy's help he walks up to get his toothbrush and we start brushing (aka brushing and sucking the bristles).  We are so proud of him.

At Day care, Dominic is really enjoying all the arts and craft projects they are doing now.  Everything from pudding finger painting, sticker collages and much more.  Mommy has gone out and bought a lot more crafts and even bought an art board to paint on (little early but were ready to get messy).  Dominic is doing a great job listening to his teacher.  As she provides instructions for the craft,  Dominic watches her and then follows through and even gets creative with his personal touch.  They are learning everything from colors, shapes and "head-shoulders-knees-toes-eyes-ears-nose and mouth".

Dominic is always watching and learning no matter what we are doing.  This past weekend we went to Nanas and Bampas for a bit since they were away last week.  We changed Dominic's diaper and then sat him up to go play.  He turns around, grabs the diaper and starts to walk away from Daddy.  Next thing you know he walked all the way into the kitchen, open the trash can and through away his diaper. MY GOODNESS I almost dropped to the floor.

On a personal note, this past May 3rd Mark and I attend our annual Miles for Hope, Cure for Brain Tumors (it was Dominic's 2 appearance).  Being there with my family and running with Dominic brings tears to my eyes. This year marks my 5 year anniversary as a survivor.  This year I spoke about my journey with my tumor and how my family and friends were such an amazing support system.  Being able to run the course with my little man is amazing.... so many wonderful memories and adventures and much more to come.

Now that its FINALLY getting warmer out and the Summer is right around the corner Daddy decided to shave. Yes i said it, Mark shaved his beard..... cannot remember the last time he was so clean shaven.  When Daddy came into the room to show Dominic he was a little scared and did not know who he was...  I'm sure he was thinking "the face was different but sounds like daddy.... hMmmmmmm".  It's probably going to take him a few days to adjust.
