Time FLIES

The last time Dominic saw his Aunt Bre and his cousins, was when he was in Mommy’s belly at 6 months old.  Now that Dominic is almost 8 months, we had decided to make the trip to see our cousins, Auntie Bre and Uncle Kevin.  Dominic did so great on his first flight to Maryland; we occupied him with singing, iPad aps and belly time in the middle seat.

The next morning was filled with eating, playing in our PJs and a sweet trail run.  All three little munchkins loved playing with each other and giggling.  Avery loved to gently sooth Dominic with her hand and bringing him his toys. Grayson loved giving Dominic kisses whether it would be on the beach or playing at the house… it was really sweet.

Auntie Bre had the BEST toys; she has musical instruments where each kiddie attempted to play the drum, guitar or xylophone… that lasted a good 2 minutes till they each wanted what the other had.  Later in the day we went to the beach for Dominic’s first time and I was seriously prepping for a mouth full of sand and worried about jelly fish.  I am happy to report, he did not eat any sand UNLESS it happened to be on his toys and there were no jelly fish. As we introduced Dominic to the sand, we started with his little butt on the towel and toes in the sand then slowly moved him off the towel to see how he handle it, and it went surprisingly well.

After a bit we did the toes in the water to feel it out and he LOVED it.  The next day, we went swimming and he was like a fish.  Totally relaxed and calm.  We did some swimming moves we learned in his class and he was NON STOP SPLASHING.  When we were not in the water, he loved to watch his cousins, Avery and Grayson run around and play with their dog Ellie.  Avery was so sweet and took naps on the sand for “nap time”, and every 10- 15 minutes we would have to do a dip in the water and then nap time again.  Grayson continued with his kisses to Dominic, when he was not digging or playing with the tubes.

While we were in Maryland, I was really noticing how well Dominic was sitting up.  So I told myself, I had to let my guard down a little and that is what I did.  My first test for myself was when I went grocery shopping and let Dominic sit in the cart, sitting up all by himself.  He did so well and he was giggling and a smiling baby boy the whole time.

The next night was bath time and we know how Dominic LOVES water, so it was moms’ time to take away the sling in his tub and let him just sit up.  This made me nervous because he loves to bend over and splash –splash and splash.  This time, he sat up a lot straighter and still splashed but was not falling over.  I was so happy and then he started to dance.  The past week he bobs his hand when he’s dancing and that is what he was doing as we played with Mr. Ducky and listening to Pandora.

Growing LEAPS & BOUNDS

August 3rd Dom turned “7 MONTHS”, ow boy Dominic is such a serious baby (kind of like his momma) and when we started taking pictures each month, getting him to smile and laugh was not easy BUT, now all the little stud muffin does is gab & gad & laugh & laugh.  During these pictures he was drooling nonstop because his 2 bottom teeth FINALLY came in.

Family tradition, the Ambrose family travels to Mt. Washington to climb and celebrate Nanas birthday every August.  That week Poppy (aka Mr. Sanner) came up from MD to visit Dominic for about a week and attended the family tradition.  Poppy’s visit also included long walks during the day, laughing and giggling nonstop along with some sweet snuggling naps.

For Nana's birthday present we got all the gran babies together for a "portrait pic"

The second week in August, Dominic and I attended his last swim class and he received a certificate of completion which was super sweet. Then we meet up with Daddy to attend the “Old Homes Days” in Londonderry in which we walked around and next year we will run the 5K.

That weekend we also attended the Ambrose Family cook out at Nanas and Bampas.  This was a great time because all of the cousins attended and we got to take a big family picture.

When we left CO Mom was about 3 months pregnant.  Now just over a year from leaving, Dominic is here and 7 months old.  This means we have not seen any of our CO friends in 13 months and we were lucky enough to have a dinner date with Mike Peterson .  Since it was Mikes 1st time in MA,  we thought it would be fun to eat at “Cheers” and it also happened to be Dominic’s 1st time at “Cheers” too.

After pushing it off Dominic was long overdue for a trim.  So we opened up the “Ambrose Cuttery” for the night and gave Dominic his 1st trim with Daddy holding him tight.  The hair cut looks great but mommy won’t quit her day job.
