February is the month of LOVE and I am filled with it. Dominic turned 1 month on the 3rd
and he is growing in so many ways. He is
learning to reach for his blanket and other items that are around him and using
his super baby strength to pull on anything within reach.
On the 1st of February we introduced the pacifier
which was hard for me. My goal is to use
this to prolong his feedings so he goes 4 hours between meals without BLOWING
UP! This schedule will be helpful for
when Nana takes him so I go back to work.
Dominic is doing a great job with his new feeding schedule and even let
us sleep for 7 STRAIGHT hours the other night.
Now that Dominic is starting his second month, we are
starting to see smiles and hear his little giggles. Last week, on our morning
Mommy & Baby play date, he was continuously smiling and giggling nonstop
and I almost lost it with tears.

On the 8th we were hit with a wicked bad nor eastern called Nemo. We were nervous we would lose heat so we packed
up the ENTIRE family to head over to Nanas and Grandpas. During these days it was Dominic’s 1st
time in a crib and he did great. Mom and
Dad were nervous so we slept on the floor which was rough but knowing Dominic
was a happy camper made up for the back aches. During these 2 days we did a TON
of belly and play time and this is when Dominic finally recognized his
reflection in the mirror and awed at himself. To celebrate riding out the storm, we went to
dinner at the “Coach Stop”. It was Dominic’s first time eating out and he was a
great little boy.
During these few weeks Dominic has been making
leaps and bounds with his hand and eye coordination. He is getting so much better about where his
hands are and using them. When his
pacifier drops he’s been reaching to attempt to place back in his mouth and rubbing
his eyes when he wakes from a nap or night time. We also have play sessions, am & pm ,this
is when he has been sitting with me and mirroring mommies moves from hands, mouth
and eyes.
